Crayle has edited all types of prose fiction over the last 5 years.
Of the works that have been published, she now has high fantasy, paranormal mysteries, gothic horror, period pieces, cyberpunk, and superhero romances under her belt in the “credited on” section of her portfolio.
This week, she was able to add another feather to her editing cap, courtesy of the talented author Paul Leone.
Leone has published a handful of Dungeons & Dragons supplemental sourcebooks over on the Dungeon Masters Guild, and Crayle edited his most recent one – Cormanthor: The First Flowering.

Cormanthor: The First Flowering is a supplemental sourcebook for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, meant to be used for Forgotten Realms games.
It takes place in Toril’s deep past, a setting with primitive technologies and lots of opportunities for players to interact with fascinating deities, clan leaders, and creatures.
It also includes:
- An overview of life among the forest elves of the First Flowering
- A full listing of weapons and gear from the ancient world
- Ten new magical items suitable for any era
- The lost history of ancient Cormanthor
- A full listing of weapons and gear from the ancient world
- The archfey powers worshiped by the ancient elves
- A full-color map and illustrations by Robert Altbauer, Franziska Wenzel and Jenny Dolfen
As an added bonus, the art is beautiful. Who doesn’t love leafing through their D&D materials to look at the pictures?
Crayle loved editing this sourcebook, and DMs and their players will love adventuring around in this ancient setting!
As for Crayle, she never knew that her college friends (the same ones who got her into cosplay, incidentally) dragging her into the world of Dungeons & Dragons would help her editing career, but here we are.
So this quick article is dedicated to Mark and Ruby, who turned Crayle into both a cosplayer and a full-blown dice goblin.
