The Phoenix Sisters Cosplay duo had a blast in 2023 at Times of Future Past – A Cosplay Festival For Any Era.
We played Ciri and Triss from The Witcher: The Wild Hunt, alongside our friend Tim (The Forest City Superhero) as their Geralt of Rivia.
Staying in character, we told people at the ticket gates, “No need to worry, we cleared the grounds of monsters before the festival began!”
We also did a photoshoot on the grounds, and got some really great shots to add magical affects to for later.
The festival itself was a blast, with a blacksmith working on the premises, aerialists performing multiple times, great food, and LARPing galore.
The event was some of the most fun we’ve ever had a cosplay event, even though we were technically “working,” and that’s why we’re overjoyed and honored to have been invited back!
In 2024, we will be playing Supergirl and Batgirl, protecting the festival from supervillains or natural disasters.
So make sure you attend this great event June 8th and 9th, 2024. We’ll be there at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Park in Des Moines, Iowa.
