Welcome to the home of Sunday Morning Superheroes – a passion project by Hollis Thompson, nerdy academic extraordinaire.

People of faith all over the world find great spiritual truths in the stories of superheroes like Superman, Batman, Spider-man, and the X-men.
This podcast explores the intersections between superhero culture and Biblical Studies with a mixture of academic rigor, fun, and deep empathy for both the creators of these characters and the people to whom they mean so much. We cover stories, characters, and topics from all over the multiverse, and give an honest, no-holds-barred explanation of what they can teach us about God, life, and the true meaning of heroism.
